  On my trip home from Philly today, stopped by @ Tony Lukes b/c we didn't have cash for another cheesesteak spot (they take credit cards). The gods were upon us b/c Tony Lukes cheesesteaks hit the spot! Plenty of tender meat, perfect portion of cheese whiz and sautéed mushrooms and onions. How could you go wrong!!!! Complementary pickles & (tomato)??
  
  Free parking available.....and tables. Napkins are a bit thin but cheesesteak is the best!! A bunch of locals grabbing a bite before the Philly game....locals know the best spots!!! Woohooo!

  On my recent trip to Philly, we made it a point to get at least one cheese steak per day. At the recommendation of one of my friends, we started our journey at The Original Tony Lukes. While I know we encountered multiple locals having their arguments about the best local spot, my friend who moved here about a year and a half ago stated that this one was his go to spot.
  
  We enjoyed a greasy cheesesteak, topped to sharp provolone and added some mushrooms and grilled onions. The flavor of this cheesesteak was incredible, and the meat quality was solid as well. I personally appreciated that the slices of meat were thin, but flavorful, and paired with the sharp provolone this was great. However, this was quite a messy meal and we ended up with grease all over our hands after completing the meal.
  
  Overall, this was an incredibly flavorful cheesesteak that we really enjoyed. We appreciated the long hours they were open, as we stopped by fairly late and got to enjoy a nice cheesesteak. Even at 11 PM, they had a line formed of people waiting to order. Definitely worth checking out!

  During my Philly trip you know what was number 1 on my mind.,,,,, Dem Philly Cheese Steaks. I went on a mission to try them as much as I could. Seeing how they are one of, if not my favorite thing to eat. But i live in Ohio. So our stuff is just knockoffs.
  
  Very first cheesesteaks were Pats and Geno's. These were ok. But they weren't Tony Luke's. Tony's has more flavor in the meat to me. And in the whole thing in general. I double double Cheese whiz wit. That's the perfect Cheese steak if you ask me. I want it to be messy and hot. That jawn had me going nuts.
  
  This was on if not the best cheesesteak i had in the city. I would def come back if in the city again. Eagle suck by the way.

  Tony Luke's, if you've been living under a rock, is a staple in Philadelphia. They have incredibly delicious sandwiches. They have an enclosed dining area that is opened for the nice weather. There is usually a line ( for good reason) but the line moves fairly quick. You place your order wait for your name to be called and then it's time to enjoy your masterpiece of a Sandwich. They have a fantastic steak Sandwich however my favorite is the Chicken Italian. It comes with two breaded, deep fried chicken patties with old school taste. You can get brocolli rabe or spinach. Add some sharp Provolone and boy you will be in Heaven, for a while too, because this Sandwich is huge. The dining area is immaculate and the staff is very friendly and professional. If you are ever in Philly, take the opportunity to give this iconic Sandwich joint a visit.

  Heard good things about this place, so had to visit with friends. Food was good, not exceptional though. Meat was fresh and juicy. Very few options for a vegetarian. Hot chocolate was too sweet but not chocolatey.
  
  Service/seating - not so great. But okay to go with friends for a casual eat.
  
  Best eaten at the place.  Also, I wouldn't suggest take out, even if you do eat it as soon as possible.  
  
  Added bonus: Their pickles were amazing. Definitely try those.
